Hi, I’m Nikki 🙂 I am an artist and student currently completing the UVic Secondary PDP program to become an Art Teacher! I love learning, promoting and fostering environments where creativity can grow, and championing a growth mindset in learners.
This blog is part of my Educational Technology course, where I will be documenting and reflecting on my journey to learn how to drive! Although I turned 30 this year, I have never had my license or driven a car (other than around a parking lot with my friends). My goal is to be on the road before I start my practicum in May, 2024. I’ll be documenting my process of studying for my road test, passing that (hopefully) getting behind a wheel and on the road, likely taking some driving lessons, and finally passing my full road test. I have some fears and apprehensions about the process and the realities of being a driver, but I’m excited to take on this challenge and develop my skills and abilities in order to bring some much needed transportation convenience to my life!
