for our final week, we shared some resources and approaches to educational technology. My group presented on MentiMeter, a quiz and response building portal. I was super impressed with the other presentations, and found the presentation on the concept of SAMR to be very engaging. SAMR is a model for ordering classroom technology implementation into 4 categories

This model is a very meaningful and relevant take on why and how we incorporate technology in the classroom. A lot of the time, I feel like we can be using “technology just for technolgies sake”, and this model breaks down each technological intervention and critically assesses at which point in learning we need to adapt. We dont always need to “redefine” learning, I think its perfectly acceptable to incorporate technology in different stages of learning to support our goals.
